Topkapi Palace Museum, Istanbul

The Topkapi Palace Museum is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Istanbul, Turkey. The museum is located in the Sultanahmet district of the city and is home to a vast collection of artifacts from the Ottoman Empire. The palace was originally built in the 15th century by Mehmed the Conqueror and was used as the main residence of the Ottoman sultans for nearly 400 years. The museum was opened to the public in 1924 and is now one of the most visited museums in the world.

The museum is housed in a series of buildings that were constructed between 1459 and 1856. The main palace building is home to the Imperial Treasury, which contains a vast collection of jewels, robes, and other artifacts from the Ottoman Empire. Other buildings in the complex include the Harem, the Gardens of the Saddleback, and the Tower of Justice.

The museum is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily, except on Tuesday when it is closed. Admission is 17.00 US dollars.
