Tour route: Athens → Mykonos → Santorini → Amman → Madaba → Petra → Wadi Rum → Dead Sea
During the two following days, you will have ample opportunity to explore Mykonos and experience all it has to offer. Mykonos is a cosmopolitan haven at heart, with the appearance of picturesque, quaint island. This unique combination can appear surreal to newcomers as they enjoy a meal in the finest restaurants with tiny churches and whitewashed houses quietly decorating the background. Since you will have plenty of time in Mykonos, a tour of the neighboring islands of Rinia & Delos is an opportunity you shouldn’t miss out on.
Prepare to be enchanted over the following couple of days, by the wild natural beauty of Santorini. Awe-inspiring whitewashed houses perched on the cliffs and vineyards that spill into the sea under the lively Mediterranean sun paint a picture that doesn’t do justice to the real thing. Take advantage of the chance to explore the capital Fira and the picturesque Oia with its many unique shops and restaurants. Choose among a wide variety of activities such as visiting the Akrotiri Archaeological Site, the volcanic Red or Black Beach, or take a sailing cruise to marvel at the Caldera and enjoy freshly-cooked meal & open bar on board.

Breakfast at the hotel, then drive to the ancient city of Amman to visit Amman Citadel Top choice ruins in Amman the area known as the Citadel sits on the highest hill in Amman, Jebel Al Qala’a (about 850m above sea level), and is the site of ancient Rabbath-Ammon. Occupied since the Bronze Age, it’s surrounded by a 1700m-long wall, which was rebuilt many times during the Bronze and Iron Ages, as well as the Roman, Byzantine and Umayyad periods. There’s plenty to see, but the Citadel’s most striking sights are the Temple of Hercules and the Ummayad Palace. Roman Theater: This magnificently restored theatre is the most obvious and impressive remnant of Roman Philadelphia, and is the highlight of Amman for most foreign visitors. Head North to visit Jerash the Greco-Roman city, Jordan’s largest and most interesting Roman site, and a major tourist drawcard. Its imposing ceremonial gates, colonnaded avenues, temples and theatres all speak to the time when this was an important imperial centre. Proceed to visit Ajloun Castle: This historic castle was built atop Mt ‘Auf (1250m) between 1184 and 1188 by one of Saladin’s generals, ‘Izz ad-Din Usama bin Munqidh (who was also Saladin’s nephew). The castle commands views of the Jordan Valley and three wadis leading into it, making it an important strategic link in the defensive chain against the Crusaders and a counterpoint to the rusader Belvoir Fort on the Sea of Galilee in present-day Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Back to your hotel in the evening.
Breakfast at the hotel then drive to visit Madaba; The amiable market town of Madaba is best known for a collection of Byzantine-era mosaics. The most famous of these is the map on the floor of St George’s Church, but there are many others in different parts of the town, several of them even more complete and vibrantly colorful. then drive to visit Mount Nebo; where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land, a land he was himself forbidden to enter. It’s believed that he died aged 120 and was later buried in the area, although the exact location of the burial site is the subject of conjecture. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Petra for check-in.
Breakfast at the hotel, head to the site to visit Petra: Top choice archaeological site in Petra The spectacular sandstone city of Petra was built in the 3rd century BC by the Nabataeans, who carved palaces, temples, tombs, storerooms and stables from the soft stone cliffs. Today it is a World Heritage Site that needs little introduction; suffice to say, no visit to Jordan is complete without exploring the remarkable Ancient City. The Ancient City is approached through the 1.2km-long, high-walled Siq – a crack in the rock, torn apart by tectonic forces. Just as you start to think there’s no end to the Siq, you catch breathtaking glimpses ahead of the most impressive of Petra’s sights, the Treasury, known locally as Al Khazneh. Carved out of iron-laden sandstone to serve as a tomb, the Treasury gets its name from the misguided local belief that an Egyptian pharaoh hid his treasure in the top urn. The Greek-style pillars, alcoves, and plinths are truly masterpieces of masonry work. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Petra.
Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to Wadi Rum, which embodies the essence of a quintessential desert. Characterized by extreme temperatures in summer and winter, it showcases a moody and dramatic landscape. As the sun slices through chiseled siqs (canyons) at dawn or blurs the line between rock and sand at dusk, the desert reveals its unique beauty. It demands respect from the Bedouin who inhabit it and can be unforgiving to those who underestimate its challenges.
Wadi Rum offers an accessible and safe desert experience, providing an unforgettable journey that strips the soul back to its basics.
Enhance your exploration with a 2-hour Jeep tour, allowing an up-close view of the stunning desert landscapes, unique rock formations, and ancient inscriptions. This adventure deepens your immersion into the heart of Wadi Rum.
Conclude your day by heading to your camp at Wadi Rum for dinner and an overnight stay.
Breakfast at the hotel, drive to Dead Sea: At 431m below sea level – the lowest point on earth – the Dead Sea is a body of intense blue water, polished smooth like oiled skin on a windless day in winter and ruffled into whitecaps by the summer winds.
After breakfast at the hotel. Free time to enjoy the shores of the Dead Sea and the resort facilities and the variety of Spa treatments available till you are transferred to Queen Alia Airport for departure.
