2-Day Desert Tour to Zagora from Marrakech

Day 1: AIT BEN HADDOU – DRAA VALLEY – ZAGORA

Stop At: Tizi n’Tichka, Tizi N’Tichka, Morocco We will leave Marrakech at 7:30-8 am torwards Zagora. On the way, we’ll discover the Tîzî-N-Tichka area, a highway that crosses the High Atlas at 2260 meters high, and we’ll see some nice fortified Berber villages. Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ait Ben Haddou, Ait Ben Haddou, Souss-Massa Short visit in Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou (Unesco world heritage) Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Agdz, Agdz, Souss-Massa We will cross the High Altas and see a Berber village of Agdez, the Draa Valley and its palm grove, the last vegetation before entering the desert. Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Zagora, Zagora, Souss-Massa We’ll arrive in Zagora with enough time to ride a camel and enjoy the amazing sunset in the desert. After a traditional Berber dinner, we will spend the night in an authentic Berber Haima (tent). Duration: 3 hours

Day 2: ZAGORA – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH

Stop At: Zagora, Zagora, Souss-Massa At dawn we will enjoy an unforgettable event: sunrise in the desert. After the dawn, we’ll have a nice typical breakfast and go back to Zagora riding a camel to continue the tour. Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Ouarzazate 45000, Morocco Again, we will pass the Draa Valley and Agdez to arrive in Ouarzazate, where we’ll have lunch and have some free time to visit (optional) Ouarzazate, the Kasbah Taourirt or the cinema studios where many famous movies were shot. Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi In the afternoon, we will go back to Marrakech, passing again the High Atlas and making a short stop in Tîzî-N-Ticka, finishing our tour driving to Marrakech where we will arrive at our pick up point. Duration: 4 hours
