At noon, your guide picks you up from your hotel in Çanakkale or Eceabat. We start with a restaurant lunch in Eceabat around 12:30 PM (included), then head out at about 1 PM. This is a small-group tour in an air-conditioned vehicle, so you'll get real time with the guide at each stop.
We begin along the coast at Brighton Beach, then the Beach Cemetery and Anzac Cove, where Australian and New Zealand troops landed on April 25, 1915. Your guide walks you through the Ari Burnu Cemetery and the ANZAC Commemorative Site, where the dawn service is held each year.
From the coast we climb inland to the Respect to Mehmetçik Statue and the Lone Pine Australian Memorial. At Johnston's Jolly you'll see original Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels, some just a few meters apart.
We continue to the Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery, then The Nek and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial at the top of the ridge. There's a fair amount of walking on uneven ground and slopes, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The peninsula gets hot and exposed in summer, so pack a hat and sunscreen.
We wrap up by about 4:30 PM and return to Eceabat. This is a half-day tour, so onward bus or flight tickets from Gallipoli are not included. END OF OUR SERVICE AND TOURS.
