The 1-Day Cappadocia Tour from Istanbul with Overnight Cave Hotel (Flights Included) pairs round-trip domestic flights with a one-night stay at a comfortable cave hotel. After an afternoon pickup in Istanbul and a flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir, you settle in for the evening before a full guided day across Cappadocia.
Explore the fairy chimneys of Devrent Valley, visit a pottery workshop in Avanos, and wander the rock-carved dwellings of the Zelve Open-Air Museum. Enjoy panoramic views at Uchisar Castle, then descend into Kaymakli Underground City before your evening flight back to Istanbul.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul in the afternoon or evening, depending on availability, and transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in, where you can relax and unwind during your overnight stay in Cappadocia.
For an optional extra, you can book an early morning hot air balloon ride to enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Cappadocia's valleys (additional cost). If you choose not to, you can relax with breakfast at your hotel before your 9:30 am pickup for the full-day guided tour.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. At around 9:30 am, you will be picked up to begin your tour with a visit to Devrent Valley, known for its fairy chimneys and unusual rock formations that resemble natural sculptures. Next, you'll head to Avanos, a town famous for its pottery-making tradition that dates back to 3000 BC. Here, you'll visit a pottery workshop, where artisans use clay from the Red River to create beautiful works of art.
Following this, you'll break for lunch at a traditional Turkish restaurant, enjoying authentic local dishes, before continuing the tour to the Zelve Open-Air Museum. This unique museum showcases an ancient monastic community with dwellings carved into the rock, offering insight into life in Cappadocia's past.
From Zelve, you'll travel to Uchisar, where the towering Uchisar Castle provides stunning panoramic views of the Cappadocia region and Mount Erciyes. While entering the castle itself is not permitted, it serves as an excellent spot for photos and to take in the surrounding landscape.
The final stop of your tour will be Kaymakli Underground City, one of the largest and most fascinating underground cities in Cappadocia, where ancient civilizations lived and sought refuge from invaders.
At around 4:00 pm, your tour will end, and you will be transferred to Kayseri or Nevşehir airport for your evening flight to Istanbul. Flight departure times vary depending on availability, generally between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm. END OF OUR SERVICE and TOURS.
