5-Day Amman, Petra, Wadi Rum and Dead Sea Tour

When your flight arrives at the international airport in Amman, our representative will meet you. You'll then have a private transfer to your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle.

After check-in, the rest of the day is yours, with no scheduled sightseeing. You can rest or head out independently, keeping any walking at your own pace. Comfortable shoes are useful if you decide to explore.

You'll stay overnight in Amman at Amman International Hotel, Downtown Hotel Apartments, Sulaf Luxury Hotel, or similar accommodation. No meals are included today, so you can choose a local restaurant for dinner at your own expense.

After breakfast, you'll meet your English-speaking driver in your Amman hotel lobby. Your private vehicle takes you first to the Roman Amphitheatre, built into a hillside in the 2nd century. Its seating holds about 6,000 people, and it still hosts cultural events.

Next, you'll visit Amman Citadel, with hilltop views across the city and remains from several civilizations. You'll also explore the Jordan Archaeological Museum and Umayyad Palace, known for its domed entrance chamber. Wear comfortable shoes for exploring the archaeological sites, and bring a hat and sunscreen.

After your Amman visits, your private transfer to Petra takes about two hours. You'll spend the night at Petra Boutique Hotel, Petra Guest House, or a similar property.

After breakfast, you'll explore Petra, the ancient Nabataean capital carved into sandstone mountains. Your private English-speaking local guide is included for 2.5 hours only. You'll begin with a horse ride from the entrance gate to the Siq.

You'll then walk through the 1.2-kilometer gorge to Al-Khazneh, better known as the Treasury. Look for the tall columns and detailed carvings cut directly into the sandstone cliff. The Royal Tombs, the Monastery, and the Theatre offer further places to explore. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, a hat, and sunscreen for the walking sections.

In the early afternoon, your private vehicle takes you to Wadi Rum, about 120 kilometers away. The drive takes roughly 1.5 hours. You'll explore the desert by 4x4 for three hours, among red sandstone mountains, rock formations, and rolling dunes. If the weather permits, you may also catch the sunset.

Dinner is included at your desert campsite, where you'll spend the night in Wadi Rum. Your accommodation will be Rum Stars Camp, Sun City Camp, or a similar standard-quality desert camp.

After breakfast, you'll leave Wadi Rum for the Dead Sea, a drive of about three hours. You'll travel in a private air-conditioned vehicle with your English-speaking driver.

Once you've checked into your hotel, the rest of the day is yours to explore independently. This hypersaline lake has water salty enough to help you float, along with mineral-rich mud.

Bring swimwear and sun protection if you'd like to try floating in the lake. You can set your own pace for exploring and walking during your free time.

You'll stay overnight at a 4-star hotel at the Dead Sea. Accommodation is Dead Sea Spa Hotel, Holiday Inn Hotel, Hilton Dead Sea Resort & Spa, or a similar property.

After breakfast, you'll have free time to enjoy the resort and beach area at the Dead Sea. Keep your swimsuit and sun protection handy if you're spending the morning by the water.

You'll check out of your hotel before 12:00 noon. Your airport transfer follows check-out, with departure timing based on your flight details.

Your English-speaking driver will take you to Amman Airport in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Our tour and services end when you reach the airport for your departure.
