After check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure.
After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, connect with your English-speaking guide in the lobby. Today's agenda will take you on a journey through the city of Amman, exploring its landmarks.
First on the list is the Citadel, an archaeological site that rests on the peak of Jebel Al Qala’a in downtown Amman. This site offers a breathtaking view of the city and houses a 1700-meter wall dating back to the Bronze Age, the renowned Temple of Hercules, and the Umayyad Palace.
Next, proceed to the Roman Theatre located in the city's heart. This exquisitely restored theatre is the most evident and awe-inspiring leftover from Roman Philadelphia and it is considered the highlight of Amman for most overseas visitors. The theatre, carved into the northern side of a hill, boasts a seating capacity of 6000.
Afterwards, set off for Jerash to visit one of the world's most well-preserved Roman provincial cities. Surrounded by hilly wooded areas and fertile basins, Jerash is situated on a plain. After being conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was recognized as one of the ten great Roman cities of the Decapolis League.
After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at approximately 7:30 am, preparing to embark on a journey south towards Petra, making captivating stops along the way.
The first destination will be St. George Church in Madaba, where you will see the renowned Madaba Map, also known as the Madaba Mosaic Map. This intricate floor mosaic is a fascinating artifact from the early Byzantine church.
Next, you'll venture to Mt. Nebo, the site where Moses is believed to have viewed the Promised Land. Your journey will continue along the King’s Highway until you reach the city of Karak, known locally as Al-Karak.
Karak is notable for its significant role during the Crusades, particularly the Karak Castle, one of the largest Crusader castles in the Levant. Take some time to explore this impressive stronghold.
If there is sufficient time, a detour to visit Little Petra is on the cards. However, if time is constrained, you will proceed directly to Petra for your overnight stay.
Today you’ll visit Petra. Following breakfast at your hotel, rendezvous with your driver for your visit. You'll begin with a passage through the Siq, leading you to significant sites such as the Treasury, Street of Facades, Theater, and Colonnaded Street.
After lunch, should time permit, you can visit the Monastery and/or the High Place of Sacrifice. Be prepared for a considerable amount of climbing, but rest assured, the panoramic view is absolutely worth it! The day ends with a return to your hotel in Petra.
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and meet with your driver. Transfer to Wadi Rum and stop at the Visitors Centre. Here you will enjoy a half-day jeep tour of Wadi Rum. A jeep tour is the best way to discover many sites in Wadi Rum. The jeep will stop at each site giving you time to roam around and a chance to climb some of the beautiful naturally formed bridges in Wadi Rum. Afterwards, enjoy dinner and overnight at a campsite in Wadi Rum.
Optional before the jeep tour, enjoy a half-hour camel ride from Wadi Rum Village to Lawrence’s Spring.
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet your driver. Travel to Aqaba, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the city's Red Sea coastline. Engage in water activities like snorkeling and diving or simply relax on the beach and explore local markets.
After breakfast, check out and meet your driver. Transfer to the Dead Sea for a day of relaxation and floating in its salty waters. Experience the famous healing mud. In the afternoon, return to Amman for check-in.
After breakfast, you will check out from your hotel in Amman (hotel check-out is before 12:00 noon). Free time at your leisure then transfer to Amman international airport according to your flight details. This will be the end of our tour and services.
