1 Day and 1 Night Konya Tour from Istanbul By Plane

You can fly from Istanbul to Konya in the late afternoon or evening, depending on the available flights. Upon arrival in Konya, you will be met by your driver and taken to your hotel.

After breakfast at approximately 9:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel to commence a full-day tour of Konya. The journey begins with a visit to the Tomb of Rumi, located in the splendid Mevlana Museum, a site of great significance for Muslims and admirers of Rumi alike. Adjacent to this, the tour includes the historic Sultan Selim Mosque, an Ottoman-era gem. Lunch will be enjoyed in a traditional Turkish restaurant.

Following lunch, the tour proceeds along Mevlana Caddesi, the main boulevard of Konya, leading to the ancient Alaettin Hill, a site with prehistoric roots. Here, you'll explore the Alaaddin Mosque, a millennium-old structure where Rumi frequently prayed. The mosque's courtyard houses the tombs of numerous Seljuk Turkish sultans, contemporaries of Rumi who sought his spiritual counsel.

Descending the northern slope of Alaettin Hill, the tour passes by the remnants of the Seljuk Sultan's palace. Across the street, you'll witness the grand portal of the medieval Great Karatay Medrese, a theological college. The tour then moves to the Mosque and Tomb of Sems-i Tabrizi, Rumi's esteemed companion, spiritual guide, and muse for many of his poetic compositions.

At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Konya Airport for your evening return flight to Istanbul. END OF OUR SERVICE and TOURS.

• Please note that your return flight from Konya to Istanbul will arrive at either the New Airport in Istanbul or at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport depending on the availability of flights on the ticket purchase date.
• If you have a preference to return to a specific airport in Istanbul i.e. Sabiha Gokcen or Istanbul New Airport, you must request your choice of the airport in Istanbul by email prior to your tour booking. Any changes requested once your booking is confirmed will incur an additional cost.
• Upon arrival at Istanbul airport, you will have to arrange your own pick-up service from Istanbul airport to your hotel in Istanbul. This transfer is not included as part of your package tour services with us. Our service ends upon your flight arrival at Istanbul Airport.
