Continue with South Cappadocia, including Red Valley, a Rose Valley hike, Cavusin Village, Pigeon Valley, and either Kaymakli or Ozkonak Underground City.
After flying to Izmir via Istanbul and staying in Kusadasi, travel to Pamukkale for a guided visit to the Pamukkale Cotton Cliffs and ancient Hierapolis, including the Pamukkale Theatre and Roman Baths.
You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul around 4:00 am and transferred to the airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir, departing between 6:00 – 7:30 am. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and transferred to Cappadocia, where your full-day North Cappadocia tour will begin.
Your tour starts with a visit to Devrent Valley, famous for its unique fairy chimneys and rock formations. Next, you will visit Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley), home to stunning mushroom-shaped pinnacles. After exploring these natural wonders, you will head to Avanos, a town renowned for its traditional pottery making.
After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, you will visit the Zelve Open Air Museum, where you will explore ancient rock-cut churches and caves, providing a glimpse into the monastic history of the region. Towards the end of the day, you will stop at Uchisar Castle for panoramic photos.
While entry into the castle itself is not permitted, the surrounding area offers beautiful views of the landscape. After the tour, at around 4:00 pm, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Cappadocia for check-in. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or explore at your own pace.
For extra activities, you can choose one from the following options: a traditional Turkish Night show with dinner, a 2-hour ATV tour, a 2-hour horseback riding tour through the valleys, or attend a 1-hour Whirling Dervish show. Please note that all activities are available at an additional cost, and you can join only one due to time constraints.
For an optional extra, you can book an early morning hot air balloon ride and enjoy breathtaking aerial views of the valleys. Please note that this activity comes at an additional cost. After breakfast at the hotel around 9:30 am, you will be picked up and met by your tour guide to begin your full-day tour of South Cappadocia.
Your guide will brief you on the day’s activities. The tour will begin with a visit to the Red Valley, where you will explore the famous rock-cut churches and hike approximately 5 km through the Rose Valley (Gulludere Vadisi). Next, you will visit Cavusin Village, famous for its historic houses and churches of Christian clergymen.
Afterward, you will take a break for lunch around noon. Following lunch, you will drive to the Pigeon Valley (Guvercinlik Vadisi). In the afternoon, you will visit either the Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, where early Christians sought refuge.
The tour will end around 3:30 pm. After the tour, you will be transferred to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for your late evening flight to Izmir via Istanbul. Upon your arrival at Izmir airport, a representative will be waiting, holding a sign with your name, to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
After breakfast, checkout from your hotel in Kusadasi at around 7:30 am, and you will be picked up and taken to the meeting point in Selcuk where the full group will first meet. You will then begin the Pamukkale tour with a drive from Selcuk starting at 8:30 am to Pamukkale, which will take around 3 hours.
En route to Pamukkale, after about 1.5 hours, there will be a 10-minute stop for a restroom break. Upon arrival around 11:45 am, the group will first be taken to have lunch. After lunch, at around 1:00 pm, you will begin your guided tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis with a professional licensed tour guide.
In Pamukkale, you'll see the stunning Cotton Cliffs, a breathtaking natural wonder formed by calcareous salt deposits from hot springs. The tour also includes a visit to the ancient City of Hierapolis, where you'll explore the ancient Pamukkale Theatre, and the Roman Baths.
After the guided tour, you will have 1 hour of free time to explore the area at your own pace. During this time, you might choose to swim in the famous Pamukkale Antique Pools (at your own expense), where you can enjoy the warm, mineral-rich waters.
At the end of the tour, around 4:00 pm, you will be transferred to the Denizli or Izmir airport for a late evening flight back (between 7:00 – 10:00 pm) to Istanbul (flight duration approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes). Flight departure times may vary based on availability.

The famous Cappadocia hot air balloon ride is not included in the tour price, but it is available as an optional extra on the morning of Day 2 at an additional cost. We highly recommend booking this in advance, as it offers breathtaking aerial views of the valleys and is one of the most memorable experiences in the region. Please let us know early if you would like to add it, as availability is limited.
Yes, after the guided tour of Pamukkale and Hierapolis on Day 3, you will have about 1 hour of free time during which you can swim in the famous Pamukkale Antique Pools. These warm, mineral-rich thermal waters are a wonderful experience, though entry to the pools is at your own expense. We suggest bringing a swimsuit and towel if you wish to take a dip.
This tour includes three domestic flights (Istanbul to Kayseri, Kayseri to Izmir, and Izmir to Istanbul), which typically allow checked baggage of around 15 kg plus a small cabin bag, depending on the airline. We recommend packing light and confirming the exact allowance on your flight tickets to avoid extra fees. A compact bag is ideal since you will be moving between Cappadocia, Kusadasi, and Pamukkale over the three days.
In Cappadocia you will stay one night at a Standard cave hotel such as Heaven Cave House, Dedeli Konak Cave Hotel, or Zula Cave House, and in Kusadasi one night at a 4-star property like Efe Boutique Hotel, Neopol Hotel Deluxe, or Derici Hotel (or similar). On Day 3, the drive from Selcuk to Pamukkale takes around 3 hours, with a 10-minute restroom stop after about 1.5 hours. Both nights include breakfast at the hotel.

We booked the 3 day Cappadocia and Pamukkale tour from Istanbul with friends and had such a fun time. Transfers were on time, and the guide kept things easy without rushing us. Loved the ATV ride and all the photo stops, especially the terraces. Our hotel was simple but clean, and Goreme in the evening had a nice little nightlife vibe. Busy schedule, but totally worth it.
