Itinerary
Day 1Fly from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevsehir and Explore North Cappadocia Tour
Your day starts early, with pickup from your Istanbul hotel at around 4:00 AM. You'll transfer to the airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir, departing between 6:00 and 7:30 AM. Our representative will meet you on arrival and transfer you to Cappadocia. You'll meet your guide there and begin your North Cappadocia tour.
Start with the animal-like rock formations of Devrent Valley. Next, explore the mushroom-shaped pinnacles of Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley). Continue to Avanos, where pottery-making remains part of the town's daily life.
Lunch is included at a local restaurant; the menu varies. Then explore rock-cut churches and former cave dwellings at Zelve Open Air Museum. Finish with photos from the surrounding area of Uchisar Castle; entry into the castle isn't part of this visit.
Expect moderate walking over uneven paths and steps, with exposed stretches that get hot. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, sunscreen, and a hat. The tour finishes at around 4:00 PM, followed by your hotel transfer and check-in. Your remaining time is free, and you can choose a local restaurant for dinner at your own expense.
If you'd like an extra activity, choose one: a Turkish Night show with dinner, a two-hour ATV tour, a two-hour horseback ride, or a one-hour Whirling Dervish show. Each costs extra, and the schedule allows only one. Availability and timing must be checked before booking.

Day 2Explore South Cappadocia Tour and Fly to Izmir via Istanbul
After breakfast, you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers at around 9:30 AM before setting out to explore South Cappadocia. Pickup is from your hotel, and your guide will explain the day's route. If you've booked the optional early-morning hot air balloon ride, it takes place before the scheduled sightseeing program. The ride costs extra and depends on weather and flight approval.
Begin in Red Valley, exploring its rock-cut churches. You'll hike approximately five kilometers through Rose Valley, also called Gulludere Vadisi. Continue to Cavusin Village to see historic houses and churches.
Stop for your included lunch at around noon; dishes depend on the restaurant's menu. Afterward, drive to Pigeon Valley, named for the pigeon houses carved into its cliffs. Your afternoon includes either Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, not both. These underground spaces sheltered communities during periods of danger.
This is the most active day, with the five-kilometer hike plus additional sightseeing on foot. Underground passages include low ceilings, narrow sections, and steps. Bring sturdy walking shoes, water, sun protection, and a light layer. Tell us before booking if enclosed spaces or uneven ground are difficult for you.
Sightseeing ends at around 4:00 PM, followed by your transfer to Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport. You'll take a late-evening flight to Izmir via Istanbul. At Izmir Airport, our representative will meet you with a sign bearing your name and transfer you to your hotel in Kusadasi. Dinner isn't included, so budget for food during this travel evening.

Day 3Ephesus Ancient City Tour and Fly Back to Istanbul
After breakfast, check out of your Kusadasi hotel at around 8:30 AM. You'll be picked up for your guided tour of Ephesus Ancient City Ruins. Bring your luggage for the airport transfer after sightseeing.
Walk along Curetes Street and examine the carved reliefs at the Temple of Hadrian at Ephesus. Continue to the Great Theater, which could hold approximately 25,000 spectators. Your guide explains how performances and public gatherings shaped life here. Next, see the Trajan Fountain and learn about the city's water supply.
Lunch at a local restaurant is included, with the menu determined locally. Afterward, visit the House of the Virgin Mary, traditionally associated with Mary's final years. Continue to the surviving remains of the Temple of Artemis, once one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Your final stop is Isa Bey Mosque, built in 1375.
Expect substantial walking over uneven stone paving, with limited shade and possible crowds. Wear shoes with good grip, and bring water, a hat, and sunscreen. Cover shoulders and knees for the mosque, and bring a headscarf if you'll need one. Dinner isn't included.
After the tour, you'll transfer to Izmir Airport for your flight to Istanbul, arriving late in the evening. The flight takes approximately one hour and 30 minutes. What is your cancellation and refund policy?
If you need to cancel or change your travel dates, you must notify All Istanbul Tours at least 5 days before the tour starts. For a cancellation or date-change request received at least 5 days before the tour starts, the cost of all non-refundable flight and bus tickets will be deducted from the paid balance. For a cancellation or date-change request received less than 5 days before the tour starts, the full amount paid is non-refundable. If a traveler does not appear for the booked service, the reservation is treated as a no-show and the full amount paid is non-refundable.
