Itinerary
Day 1Istanbul to Denizli, Pamukkale and Hierapolis Tour
Your day starts early, with pickup from your Istanbul hotel at around 4:00 AM. Pickup covers European-side hotels, followed by transfer to the airport for your Denizli flight, usually departing between 6:00 and 8:00 AM. After landing, you'll drive about an hour to Pamukkale, where you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers.
At around 10:30 AM, visit Karahayit Red Springs, where mineral deposits stain the ground red. Enter Hierapolis at around 11:30 AM to explore this ancient spa city. Your guide covers the Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Frontinus Street, and Agora. You'll also see the Temple of Apollo, Plutonium, and theater.
Lunch is included at around 12:30 PM at a local restaurant. The Turkish set meal often includes soup, a grilled main course, salad, and seasonal fruit. You'll then have about an hour free, with an optional visit to Cleopatra Antique Pools at your own expense, subject to availability.
At around 2:30 PM, rejoin your guide to walk barefoot on the Pamukkale Travertines. Expect moderate walking over uneven ancient stones, uphill sections, and wet terraces that can be slippery. Bring sunscreen, easy-to-remove shoes, and a swimsuit and towel if you plan to swim.
Leave for Kuşadası at around 4:00 PM, with a drive of about three and a half hours. You'll arrive at around 7:30 PM for hotel check-in. After settling in, you can choose a local restaurant for dinner at your own expense.

Day 2Ephesus Tour and Flight to Cappadocia
After breakfast, you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers at around 8:30 AM before setting out to explore Ephesus. Check out of your Kuşadası hotel before the scheduled hotel pickup. The drive to the archaeological site takes about 30 minutes.
Begin your guided walk through Ephesus Ancient City Ruins, once a major Roman port city. Follow marble-paved Curetes Street to see the Temple of Hadrian at Ephesus and Trajan Fountain. You'll also visit Great Theatre Ephesus. Expect about two hours of moderate walking, with slick marble, limited shade, and possible crowds.
Lunch is included around midday, generally a Turkish set menu with a meat or vegetarian option. In the afternoon, visit the House of the Virgin Mary on Mount Koressos. Then pass the remains of the Temple of Artemis and visit Isa Bey Mosque in Selçuk. Wear comfortable shoes and modest clothing; bring sun protection and a headscarf for women visiting the mosque.
At around 4:00 PM, transfer to Izmir Airport for your late-evening flight to Kayseri or Nevşehir via Istanbul. On arrival, a representative holding a sign with your name will meet you. You'll then transfer to your cave hotel in Cappadocia. Dinner isn't included, so budget for a meal during this travel evening.

Day 3Cappadocia Tour and Flight to Istanbul
Your day starts early, with pickup from your Cappadocia hotel at around 5:00 AM, if you've booked the optional hot air balloon ride. This extra-cost activity operates only when aviation weather conditions allow. If it's canceled, your balloon operator handles the applicable refund or rescheduling options.
For the scheduled sightseeing tour, after breakfast, you'll meet your guide and fellow travelers at around 9:30 AM before setting out to explore Cappadocia. Pickup is from your hotel. Start at Devrent Valley, where erosion has shaped animal-like rock formations. Continue to Avanos, a pottery town beside the Kızılırmak River.
Explore the rock-cut dwellings and churches of Zelve Open Air Museum, followed by a stop at Uchisar Castle. Lunch at a traditional restaurant is included. Depending on the menu, dishes may include grilled meat, vegetable stews, rice, and salad.
After lunch, explore Kaymakli Underground City through low, narrow passages and stairs. You may wait outside if enclosed spaces are uncomfortable for you. Today's walking is moderate, with uneven ground and steps. Wear supportive shoes, and bring water, sunscreen, and a light layer for changing weather.
At around 4:00 PM, transfer to Kayseri Airport or Nevşehir Airport for your flight to Istanbul. Departure is usually between 7:00 and 10:00 PM, with a flight time of about 1 hour 20 minutes. For a cancellation or date-change request received less than 5 days before the tour starts, the full amount paid is non-refundable. If a traveler does not appear for the booked service, the reservation is treated as a no-show and the full amount paid is non-refundable.
